Tea for Two!

I don't have any new hair accessories to feature this week, but I did want to show a couple of pictures from the mother-daughter tea that Anna and I went to last week. She had a great time, and is still talking about it! One of the moms kindly sent me a photo to share. I'm usually behind the camera so it's rare to have a picture of "Mom" around!

I took the other pictures once we came home. Anna was in a little bit of a modeling mood, which is unusual for her! But it's fun to take her pictures when she's enjoying herself. I have to add...I'm so proud of our magnolia tree this year, which you can see in the background. Of course I really didn't have anything to do with its growth, but its blooms have been particularly beautiful this year.

Welcome to some of my new local customers this week! Glad to meet some new "bow fans" in the Michiana area. I will be listing some patriotic bows on eBay and my Web site next week, so stay tuned!

New this week! Reflections

I had an ephiphany this week while looking through Elle magazine -- there were mirrored headbands for $179 (using cheap polyester fabric)! So, here's my version with a high-quality Marcus Brothers print. I've also got another listed on eBay made of Amy Butler fabric.

Today is a mother-daughter tea for Anna's Brownies troop. I'll see if she'll want to get all dressed up to have some tea and crumpets!

Zoo trip weekend

It was another lovely weekend in northern Indiana! I stayed away from business this weekend and was able to enjoy it while still keeping up with my weekend chores (well, I did make a couple of new items that will be listed later in the week...stay tuned...but that was honestly out of fun, LOL).

Above are two pictures of Natalia and Anna as they enjoyed the zoo. Natalia is standing on a set of concrete stairs near the monkey exhibit. During this trip, I think she enjoyed the tigers the most. Anna and I enjoyed watching a peacock "strut his stuff" in front of a peahen, showing and shaking all of his beautiful feathers. I told Anna that he was asking the peahen to marry him! :) I think Anna took it literally and was standing around, waiting for the wedding. She kept saying to the peahen, "Marry him! Marry him!"

Duck, Duck, Goose!

This week's set is a pair of ducky bows that are made to match the adorable duck outfit by maddie*kate. Ebay member pixie*dust*studio made a purse to match as well! Search "Boutique Duck Play" on eBay for the bows, outfit and the purse!

This past weekend was the nicest, warmest weekend in six months, and was so glad I made the decision to slow down on eBay so I could enjoy it! I did some re-planting and spent much of the weekend outside with my family. How enjoyable!

The back side of boutique....

Ever want to see the "back side" of boutique? If so, here it is, while hunting for eggs at Grandma and Grandpa's house! :) Anna's outfit is by Monica of Dominga Luna, and Natalia's was previously pictured here, by Sugar Sweet Boutique.

OK, I've been tagged by three people while I was on break! LOL. I will get to those this week, promise!

It's spring, and lots of projects are in the wings. I will not have a focus on eBay during the next few months. But when I do list on eBay, it will be with the wonderful designers of SweetStreet! I'm so glad to be part of that group. If you're looking for boutique clothing items including purses, dresses, boys' wear, jewelry and logos/templates, be sure to search SweetStreet.

As for being in an exclusive bow group -- I loved the gals in BowBetties and was sad this week when I decided to leave. Unfortunately, I won't have enough time to give to an exclusive bow group. I'm working on a landscape project and some other seasonal household chores. This week I had some dirt delivered and part of a fence replaced, but the rest of the work is up to me! Ribbon is DEFINITELY more fun that dirt. :)

I also hope to continue on Natalia's quilt, and plan to break out the serger in the coming months and make an actual clothing item. If you're looking for great fabric, you have to check out Calico Flamingo. She's got great fabric and is so sweet....even if she doesn't like birds, LOL! Maybe I wouldn't like them if I had been attacked four times, either!
